We've got a storm on at the moment, so digital is technically fubar'd. Back to normal TV. Fair enough.

In 5 years time I'll have no choice, try and watch something broken up, or not watch anything at all.

Will I be able to claim a refund on my TV license? I doubt it.

saying that, terrestial tele was never much better. and i watch so little anyway

You could try claim but a couple hours disturbance out of almost 9000 hours in a year would equate to a couple of pence refunded. Shouldn't really watch tv during a thunderstorm anyway as if lightning strikes nearby then it can knacker your telly + digibox.

I have awful problems with my digital TV during hot summer months and storms. At least one channel will be down. It is so blooming annoying.

What sort of digital TV have you got. Is it satellite or Freeveiw ? If satellite then you can getter a slightly larger dish which should improve matters during heavy rain. If Freeveiw then come digital switchover the signal strength will be increased and things will be much better. That should also cure the problem some people get during hot weather.

Finally, it's spelt licence and not license ! Sorry about that but it does annoy me when these Americanisms creep into people's posts.

If you are an American I apologise, but because so many Brits spell it that way now it's hard to tell.

Going back to the power increase. At the moment the digital signals have to run on lower power to avoid interference with the old analogue transmissions. But when they have gone, the power will be cranked up and the coverage will be much better.

(ok so you're not you've now admitted) If you were an American in France you would spell words how the french spell them so in the UK you should spell them the proper way .

PS I seem to remember that you shouldn't have a space prior to the exclamation mark. But I'm probably wrong.

If you go to Tools, Add-ons, then you can search for a British English Dictionary.

That's what's called "The Pedant's Curse". This is where you correct somebody's spelling or grammar, and you invariably make mistakes yourself !

Regarding Firefox , there is an extension called "British English Dictionary" which you can download and install. Go to tools / add-ons / get extensions , and you should be able to find it.
