Should i get compensation from NPOWER

I moved house at the start of April 2013 and the property had a economy 7 metre. I transferred over to Npower at end of April and was told that although it was an econ 7 meter I would only be billed the standard rate, this was not the case and I have been battling over the phone ever since. I have even been promised my managers in August they had changed and back dated, but still this has not been done. I believed my complaint had been logged at least 3 times, but now even told only logged as ' DISSATISFIED CALLER' and closed as rectified!!! Complaint apparently now logged officially. Although there are notes on system from each time I have called to complain.
Should I be compensated for this terrible service? Thanks

Yes you should! I got so fed up with this kind of thing I've set up an e-petition, please consider signing:

Best of luck getting anywhere. Switching might be your only hope of reducing your hassles, but it will likely not be a swift resolution even then.
  • Thanks, I've signed it. It's disgusting that they take my money each month without providing me with a correct bill. Any ideas how much compensation i should expect.

How much do you think you should have? Being realistic, what has this cost you based on calls, time spent doing this and adding a bit for inconvenience and stress. Remember it isn't going to be a huge amount. Depending on how much You have done trying to get this done, i would be looking in the ball park or 50-75. Remember that once you have raised a complaint with npower, after 8 weeks you can take this onto the ombudsman. Just by doing this, it should stick a rocket up npowers a$$

    standard rate economy 7
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

    Oh definitely!

How much compo would you like? £10m, £20m ... how about £87m and match Dr Lewis's windfall?
(and you won't even have to pay any tax on it )

Why do you want nPower to bill you at their standard (expensive) tariff when presumably you have been getting a better deal ???

    Thanks, as dude says.

(most people just want the right bill.......and it would be nice not to feel screwed at the same time.)
