TVs likely to go down in January sales?

I would like to buy a new TV, but am wondering whether it's best to wait for the January sales? I don't *need* a new TV at present, would be nice but can wait if there would be significant savings in the sales.
I am looking at the £369 Sony 32W653, or the bigger 42W which I think is £499 at present. If the 3D 42W805 dropped considerably I might consider that too (currently £699).
So any ideas whether TVs traditionally drop in the January sales? Is it worth waiting?

I don't think you will see significant drops in the sales - my experience for best price drops is when a model goes end of line.
You can currently get the 32w365 from Richer sounds for £359 with a free 5 year warranty http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/sony/bravia-kdl32w653a/sony-kdl32w653abu0 -
I think you'll see a constant cycle of new models and discounts on old ones. Whilst that model churn continues, technology improves slowly. If you can delay any tech purchase by 6 months it's never going to work out dearer, let's put it that way anyway...0

If you don't need one, then wait until the sales and see what bargains you can get, but if you want a bargain, don't limit yourself to one model or one brand.
If you want a sony (no idea why you would, but that's beside the point), then pick the model and wait until 6 months after they announce the replacement. Then you'll find the model you wanted will get reduced in price.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0
