Just been speaking to one of the sales advisers in WH Smith and she told me that the Kobo. Touch will be £44.99 from tomorrow. I'm not sure if to go for this, the kindle or the Nook Glo? X

I had a Kobo to start off with but had lots of problems with it. Husbands had the same problems. We both ended up getting refunds. I then got a Kindle Fire HD which is great as a tablet as well as an ereader. Bought a Nok Glolight on the cheap also because can't read my Kindle on holiday in the sunshine0

This is what I'm worried about! I have a kindle (one of the 1st ones) and i love it. I am looking for an e-reader for my mom so want it to be easy to use and good quality. No need for the tablet features, just an e-reader. Think I'll wait and see if the kindle comes down in price before Christmas.0 -
I switched on my wife's Kindle yesterday and it got a software upgrade downloaded to it. Very pleased to see Amazon have now implemented a parental control feature that via a password restricts access to make purchases or browse the net. I am now considering one of these for one of my kids as its what I wanted to see on an ereader. We can sit and make purchases together.European for 3 weeks in August, the rest of the year only British and proud.0

For what it is worth...
I was considering the Nook glowlight because it is a really good price now, same as Kobo touch. But after reading quite a lot and testing one out in a shop I've discovered some people have an issue with it where the inside of the screen tears and which make bright spots appear on the screen which make it hard to read.

Doesn't seem to affect everyone, but I want to be able to carry it around without worrying about breaking it. It sounds like you can return it for this issue, but I don't want the hassle.
There is a new version of the glowlight Nook coming out, but it doesn't have any physical buttons any more or an SD card so it seems like a step backwards.
I like the way a Nook feels to hold, and it seems quite flexible about the way you can use it. So have decided to go for the orginal non-back lit version of a Nook instead. Save myself the worry and some more money. So so SO tired of being ripped off, and mislead
Hope sharing saves some pain.0
