College fund

Grandparents want to invest ca £3K lump sum plus £50 per month on an ongoing basis, for a 7 year old. Aim is to provide lump sum to help with Uni fees or similar.

What options/investment vehicles should be considered for the future, what should a decent IFA be looking at. Bearing in mind we are unsophisticated investors.

TIA
