Putting a child lock on upvc front door

Another vote for sash jammers. Very handy as it means you don't need the key to lock the door when inside.

And another for sash jammers (although I didn't know that's what they were called) - we had one at our old house and it was brilliant when the boys were smaller.

Kids are always excited to do what ever they want to,,
Coming to the point, about the door I guess the chain mechanism would be an affective one which would really do, Like I do had a chain latch in my house and my children failed to open the door
