Hi

Apologies not sure if this is right forum
I was looking at holidays next year for world cup and was obviously looking for cheapest option when a friend referred me to this website which is supposed to be like a flight search engine (something like skyscanner) to find they are about £500 cheaper than the search results on skyscanner and even direct from the airlines website themselves so this made me very suspicious.

My friend messaged them and they rang him back instantly and he said they seemed legit but I am still not convinced. Has anyone ever heard of this website because it doesnt show up in scam advisor or any reliable google results.

Another thing that made me even more suspicious was after selecting a particular flight, it never said the time of flight on it just the dates I selected within the search parameters and when I tried to click in to it again it asked me to register requesting my name and telephone number.

Alarm bells anyone?

Thanks in advance :)

  • Sounds dodgy, particularly the price discrepancy. Stick with known sites or risk losing your money!

It's no indication that the site is "legit", but the website claims that "USA Flights Ticket" is a trading name for "Global Perfection Ltd.", company number 06846515, and the company does appear to be listed (as a travel agency) with Companies House (see http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk).

However, the whois record for the domain usaflightsticket.com shows that the site is registered to:

Which seems rather odd for a UK company...

Sounds like it's not actually a search engine at all - just a bait and switch to get your contact info so the travel agent can phone up and hard sell you something that isn't quite the same price.

Too good to be true, I wouldn't touch it at all.

  • Thanks for your help guys, have decided to swerve this lot. Not worth the risk. Cheers :)
