Director's home address - can credit ref agency find it

I've been asked to become a director of an existing company. On the forms it says my "usual address" can be seen by credit reference agencies but is not on the public record.
About four years ago I cleared all my debts with all my creditors bar one substantial one from a bank that did not reply to any of my offers to settle at that time (registered letters) and have made no attempts to pursue the debt as far as I know (over two years of silence and I have moved since). What I don't want to do is suddenly ring a bell at the credit agencies by popping up on the radar as I've carefully not made any applications for credit of any sort since then.
I think scanning the web the only time the credit agencies might get hold of my "usual address" is if the company I become a director of has reason to get a loan. My understanding is that the company is debt free and actually has a large floating fund (is unlikely to ever require or pursue a loan).
Thoughts ?

My address shows as the office, and my home address is registered with Companies House.
The correspondence address won't show.

The "office address" is the "service address" and is public information.
The "usual address" is home address.... that one is not public information but it says credit agencies can get it to check credit worthiness of the company... that's the one I'm concerned about.0 -

Someone will get to you on this, as I honestly (checking my Noddle report quickly, and bearing in mind my company only has trade debt) don't know.
If the CRAs get hold of it, then it may cause problems with creditors.

corporate 192 shows director home addressesDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Directorships used to register a home address that was on public record. However the companie act 2006 (implemented 2009 I think) states that they can now have a different service address - typically the company's address trading or registered office - and it is the sevice address that is on public record.
The company is legally obliged to keep a copy of your actual residential address on their private records, but nobody would see that.
This change was specifically designed so that a directors address does not have to be public/traceable.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

Thanks Tixy, I wasn't up to date on the implementation of new legislation!

Why would it cause problems with creditors ? A ltd company is a legal entity in its own right .
Op , other posters are correct in saying you dont have to list your home addressVuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0 -
