Got tablet for skype

Got a cheap tablet ( from eBay,prob Chinese) for Skype. It works on and off. Is it a problem with the tablet? Or could it be WiFi signal problem at other end(in Pakistan)? Can be frustrating. Any ideas?

Well to rule out the other end, can you Skype someone over here who has a good connection?
You pay for what you get. Whether a cheap Chinese tablet will run Skype successfully depends on its specifications.0
