Renault Scenic, whats your experience?
Options
Has anyone bought a renault scenic, we are thinking of buying one the 1.5 dci expression model 04 plate. It looks fab but the reviews on what car magazine owner reviews are very negative which is putting us off. Any help would be so appreciate, thanks

Sorry, cant help with long term experience, but have had them as hire cars a few times in Europe. I thought they were nice and comfy, easy to drive and appeared to be praticle, but cant really tell you what they are like to live with.0

i've had one for 3 years now and it's been very reliable
cheap to service and run , i think i get around 40 -45 mpg
1.9 tdi . they are a great family car ,0 -
The Meganes and Scenics don't really have a great reliability record, thats why they end up with the bad reviews. In terms of looks, driving etc, they are excellent (especially the 1.5 dci engines) but the reliability record puts people off. Go and drive one and see for yourself. Reliability unfortunately is something you can only judge over time though.
Its also worth mentioning that Renaults are very highly rated in terms of safety. If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0 -

I don't own one but my neighbour does (03 plate) and it's been in the garage three times since they've had it - once it just wouldn't start, not sure what was wrong the other times
Other than that they enjoy the car
