My Son has been in the Support Group for 12 months which ends 16/11/2013.
As he has received no decision or appointment, will the payment cease on this date.

ESA Claims don't have an end date the 16/11/2013 is the review date it will carry on being paid until a decision maker makes a decision on the esa 50

Does that mean no Fit Notes necessary until response to Esa50 received

If, and only if he's found Fit For Work.
A FFW decision will mean that his ESA stops until he wins either a reconsideration, or until the DWP have reconsidered and refused his reconsideration and he's appealed to the tribunal service.

He will have to claim JSA or another benefit during this period to get any money.

He should collect fitnotes during this period, but not submit them unless asked. He should certainly not present them to JSA.

If his decision is either support group or that he's in the work-related group - then he does not have to provide notes - even if he's appealing the decision that he's in the work related group.
