    Morning :hello:

Does anyone else give themselves time off, then find themselves doing more than usual? Because I have permission (from myself) to have an easy week, I end up wanting to get on with things. Reverse psychology at work :D

It was 1.8 C outside at 7.30 this morning, no frost on the ground but the rooves were white, looked lovely. I was down in the chicken shed, looking fabulous in my bright pink dressing down and wellies :D

I'll keep the heating on today to get the washing dry. I have a pile of paper to shred, as long as the shredder doesn't overheat too often I should get it all done today. Miss tru has decided to rearrange her room again, I expect she'll end up piling everything on the landing and blocking the bathroom door like she did last time :D My clothes are in a bit of a mess so I'll go through the wardrobe and sort them out. I need to go through the food cupboards and see if we're low on anything, I've already done the fridge and started a shopping list. And later on this afternoon, I'll be playing with yarn :D

    Morning all!
Looking a bit wet and windy out there, winter is definitely here! Off to the doctors later this morning for a prescription as the pills have run out today, then will go to the garden of remembrance, today would have been OH's 50th birthday so will take some flowers, and later on we will raise a glass to him and have a few laughs and tears no doubt! Can't believe that next month he will have been gone a whole year!
Need to find my weekend wardrobe, iron and pack it, and rummage the freezer and find some dinners, need to run round with the hoover too!
    Have a good day all.
    RIP Iain

    Morning All,

TTFTM - sorry to hear about car, at least you have finances available for replacement, albeit two months early.
JackieO - have fun sorting out your wardrobe. My OH lost 3 stone during her gallbladder problems and DD helped clear her wardrobe. Not only did that clear a LOT of wardrobe space, but they had great fun clothes shopping afterwards.

Up bright and early this morning as I had to get to the Post Office in town first thing.

Weather is pleasant here at the moment but heavy rain is expected from this afternoon onwards.

Well I got good news in the mail yesterday. My pension has been finally agreed and the proposal forms were sent to me. :j :j I completed the forms and had the reply in the post within two hours! I am going to a family wedding first week of December and am hoping they have my money and arrears paid before the end of the month.

Have a good day everybody
  • Morning all,

TTFTM - Bit of a bu##er about the car eh?

Lovely and Sunny here at the mo, towels out on the line.
Just finished cleaning through, it seems to have taken me ages today. I kept getting side tracked. DH is 50 in a couple of weeks, he wanted to fly away for the weekend, but as I had a lot of holiday in July, I just can't take any more. We tried to find late Friday flights but there just aren't any. So I have decided we will take him out for dinner, just trying to arrange a suitable time for everyone is not the easiest thing!

Chicken for tea, might do curry, but that could change :)

    Enjoy the day all!

    Hi all

Chilly day today, but thankfully dry.:o

Jools your post reminded me, I need to order a repeat prescription for Mr LW. Fortunately I can do it online. I hope today is a good day for you; I guess it'll be somewhat bittersweet.

TTFTM what a bummer, about the car!

NAR Great news that your pension is agreed now.

Gosh, it's quiet on here today; where is everyone? We've got Mr LW's pal coming over tonight – we try and invite him when there's a dog staying, for one thing he loves dogs, and secondly I find the whole thing less stressful if there's a dog here, I'm really not good at coping with visitors. Anyways, it's an easy dins tonight, pasta with cheese sauce – Mr LW has chopped up onion and tomatoes and grated a bowl of cheese for me,:A so all I have to do is make the sauce and cook the pasta.;) If we've time for a pud before "A" gets here, there's cherry crumble in the fridge, or bananas in the fruit bowl.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Thanks everyone for the supportive comments re the car disaster. It really helps :)

"New" car is currently being serviced and MOTed, fingers crossed it's ready for collection tonight. Waiting for old faithful to be collected by scrap yard. DH and I have been out and emptied the car and sat in it and had a little sniff. Am not sure how we get attached to objects like cars but we both felt the need to say goodbye and tell it "You were the best car we ever had" :(

Jools - I hope you can spend the day remembering all the wonderful times. Love and hugs to you and your family.

Didn't get on to post this morning, I was too busy scraping ice off the car, brrr.
Work was busy, I prefer it like that, the day goes quicker.
    Have a good evening everyone.
