Barclaycard win!

I decided it was time to ask Barclaycard about reducing the interest rate on my CC with them, at 22.9% I thought it was time.
After only 10 mins I got it down to 6.9% on a balance sweep. This is a 2 year deal. As long as I don't use it again, only because any new purchases will be at the 22.9%.
The balance is a bit high so I am now paying off an extra £100 off the balance each month, well worth the call.
I'll still pay the same each month so I don't actually save any money in a month, but the balance will drop a lot faster for now.
As with all these CC companies, you don't know about these deals unless you go after them.

Yes you've got better then what you had but as Barclaycard are kings of promotions normally offering account holders offers on a monthly basis I'm surprised you ain't been offered anything before.
I've 2 BC's and can't remember the last time I signed in and they didn't have an offer on screen.0
