hi
my partner is on jobseekers allowance but is being interviewed for disability,i am his partner so i get the same money he gets every 2 weeks
my question is how much am i allowed to earn before it affects our benifits?
also when he is on disability, what will i be entitled to if i havent found a job yet?

generally on Jobseekers it's £10 for a couple before it's affected.
btw, can you type a bit more quietly?0 -

Hi scooper, can you be a bit more precise about his being interviewed for disability as I'm not sure what you mean.I'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!0

hi
well he was supposed to be seeing a advisor about this benifit, but we were wrongly informed and now we now have to get the forms through the post and send them backappreciate what you have got x0 -
Ok then, if he's incapable of work he shouldn't be signing on but claiming Incapacity Benefit and Income Support. He'll only get IB if he has sufficient National Insurance Contributions. Both these are claimed via the Jobcentre Plus over the phone. Depending on whether he has care and mobility needs he might be entitled to DLA. You have to ask for a claim form for this.
To get back to your earlier question you can only earn £10 pw without it affecting JSA or IS but if there is a disability premium in the calcualtions (either because he has DLA or been on sick for 12 month) then you can earn £20 pw. You should really let the DWP know what you are doing.
As I don't have your details I can't really advise properly but if he gets IB then it's different again. You do really need to get some proper advice
If he gets DLA middle or high rate care then you can claim Carers Allowance for looking after him as long as you are caring for at least 35 hours. It gets taken off your IS but you will get the carers premium included which I think is now £27 pw.I'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!0
