Anyone have experience of applying for Postgrad loans...i checked out rate of interest and its 9.9% which i think is too high although they have the advantage of not having to start paying bak until you are finished your course? I'm thinking it would perhaps be cheaper to get a low rate credit card/loan instead? Mogs

It may be cheaper to get a personal loan or credit card, but are you able to get a sufficiently high amount, and are you able to make repayments straight away?0

It probably would be cheaper, but do you really think anyone is going to lend you the sort of money you'll need to fund a postgrad and living costs at a low rate of interest if you have no income? Of course, if you're going to carry on working and will have enough income to meet the lenders affordability criteria then you might be in luck, but in that case you could also consider delaying entry for a while and saving so that a loan is not required.0

Don't forget that the loan doesn't start accruing interest while you're studying.0

Thanks all, i'm thinking its just easier to pay as you go (or in advance by saving now)! wouldn't want to not work as I think it demonstrates good work ethic and dont see why i couldnt do both even if its only part-time work - need to work out how much i can manage and what the fees etc are though. mogs.0
