Failed credit check

I failed a credit check. Is the company who refused me (Talkmobile) obliged to give me the reason why, or is it the company (Experian) who did the credit check?

If asked the company should give an indicator as to why you were refused, but its usually a fairly vague answer, e.g. due to something on your credit file, due to affordability, or something along those lines.
Experian didn't make the decision to decline you so they could not tell you. They do have to provide you with a copy of your credit file for a £2 fee.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Subscribers to the lending code have to give a reason. Anyone else does not. Talkmobile are not obliged to.Still rolling rolling rolling......

It would be easy for lenders to just say "We don't trust you with our money now on your toes please"0
