Does it apply to if you have opened and used the goods in that period.

Technically they still apply.. but you do have a responsibility to take care of the goods.
What is the item?0 -
It is a camera.
To me it has 2 faults that I can't overlook that greatly affect the output, though I am not sure the camera could be classed as faulty if that makes sense, though it's possible.0 -
We need details about the faults. Or what you perceive as faults.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

How obvious is it that you've used the item? DSRs allow you to inspect the item at home in the same way you would in a shop. Therefore it's quite acceptable to open the box.
If you can put it back in the packaging looking like new then you should be OK.0 -

You do not need a reason to return under DSR, but as long as they informed you beforehand you may have to pay for return p&p, (but not if it is faulty), if they did not inform you before conclusion of contract in a durable manner,(not website), then they pay return p&p.
If you are going to return under DRS you need to inform them,(not return), within 7 WORKING days following day of delivery to you.
If it is faulty you can return under SoGA and not have to pay return p&p,(this is also the case under DSR).

I am not aware of which part of DSRs actually state that. Can you confirm?0 -

In the real world however the retailer, if they believed the goods were abused beyond DSR then most will simply just refuse the refund and the DSR can go whistle.0 -
The seller can just look at the shutter count. If you've taken 100 photos in 2 days, well, that's abut more than just a quick check. You've used the item which you are now returning.
What exactly are the issues?1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0
