How can i get a memory card out of my computer ?

My dd put her sony memorystick into my laptop to download pictures from her phone. Unfortunately she forgot to put it in the little case thing (duo?) and it is stuck inside the card slot.

Any ideas on how to get it out short of taking it apart? We have tried tweezers, shaking it and several other things.

try pushing it in to release the memory card.

on my SE k750i & my psp i have to push the card in slightly then the card is released from the slot

Mate did this - had to undo screws and slightly open the casing then pull the memory card out with tweezers.

It is possible to get it out but it is a bit fiddly, have you tried holding the laptop upside down and then tipping it so the card slot points down?

There is no simple way, but if you are going to start poking things in the hole, make sure it is unplugged and the battery is removed.

Use a cocktail stick or something which isn't likely to short out the contact pins (if you can get it down that far!)
