Hope you didn't use anything sharp to remove the ice? If you did, there is a chance that you might have damaged the cooling system.
You need to start by clearing the drain hole - chances are it's probably iced up or filled with food debris.
If you can get to the back of the fridge, you'll probably find the drain hole sits above a tray which is on top of the compressor. The compressor gets hot in use and evapourates the water off the tray.
If this doesn't solve the problem, the thermostat/temperature sensor may need replacing. If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!0 -
As above but switch the whole lot off and let it thaw and drain completely. If it doesn't work on start up, you could get the stat tested, if you can't diy that, but to be honest without your own repair ability a 2 year old fridge would probably be better replaced.
Do you have a fridge thermometer in there?, it's sound advice for everyone to have 1.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
I had a very similar problem and my fridge is just 6 months old. Fridge has a lot of water droplets as well on the bottles and the freezer is working perfectly fine, I found out that my fridge door was not closing properly, mine is an integrated fridge so I just tightened the door hinges properly and it was working fine after that. If yours is the same may be this helps.0

Turn the appliance off & unplug it.
Get a piece of thin flexible wire about 12 inches long & push it down the drain hole and wiggle it about a few times.
Get a small amount of water in a cup or something & tip a bit down the drain hole.
It should go straight away.
Try the simple things first..........0
