Free HPI Check

Has anyone got a spare HPI check that they didn't use? I really don't want to spend £20 for one if I can buy 3 for 30 and end up not using the other ones.

For a free hpi check I have found 'wecheck.it' to be helpful.

I found 28 pieces information without any charge. However information about outstanding finance is not detailed here and could be obtained for a modest fee.

Waste of time. Doesnt tell you anything extra.

DVLA website will tell you more. TAX/MOT status etc.

A proper HPI is worth buying if you need one.

There is some info on why you can't get a free hpi check and the diff between a web check and text check at car check uk you can get some basic info free though from the Dvla and on mots.

i have just used freehpi.org i cant link as i am a new user but i used it to get my initial free check, it did not give me a total report but it gives you enough information on whether you should proceed to get the full one or not. I found it really useful at the auction. i havent tried any of the others but there seems to be a lot of different sites hard to know which one is actually totally free

This free check only gives you the make, model and colour of car, I would imagine you could work out most of that yourself just by looking at the car or reading the description if it's in a ad, although I suppose it does confirm the registration on the car is correct
