Just wanted to say thank you for all the pointers on here..

DS (11) is loving Goldeneye!! its brilliant, after years of Mario Kart I didn't know our clunky old Wii had this standard of gameplay in it, its like a new console!

So far he is struggling to get out the night club, just doesn't seem to have enough fire power to blast his way out but sure he will work it out.

So any other suggestions for 'must have' games that push the old Wii a bit? He does like car/driving games but has taken to the role play games well..

Preferably no games with bad language, drugs or bonking!

    Thanks.

(Thor, Captain America and A Shadows Tale look interesting)

What games has he got and what is your budget?

Amongst the shovelware, there are loads of brilliant games on the Wii. If it's budget ones that you are looking for, then I'd reccommend Little King's Story, Sin and punishment, Okami, Super paper Mario, Metroid Prime 3

Zelda: Skyward Sword is the best game on the console, but requires the Motion Plus attachment.

Xenoblade Chronicles and Monster Hunter Tri are both epic adventure games, but both seem to be holding their value well.

If your son has a gamecube controller, I would try to pick up some old gamecube games for him. F-Zero GX is a brilliant racing game and probably better than anything on the Wii despite it being 10 years old!

Mario galaxy 1 and 2 both look colourful and incredible and are amongst the best games released last generation.
