Hi,

any game experts have opinions on which my son would enjoy most?

Quantum of Solace or Goldeneye on the Wii.....

I thought that Q of S was the newer one but it seems Goldeneye has been rewritten & updated and features Daniel Craig now so its not so clear a choice.

Thanks!

QoS was a PoS - honestly that game was just bad on a ton of different levels! Goldeneye was reasonable atleast on Xbox, short but not bad.
Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.
  • Goldeneye was one of the best games on the old N64. It has been filly updated and is an excellent game on the Wii, especially the multiplayer (up to 4 people sitting together viewing a shared screen).
Buy it, your son will love it (mine do)

Don't have an exactly matched experience, but I played QoS on PS3 and Goldeneye on the Wii and thought of the two, Goldeneye was much better.

    Goldeneye it is!

Its on its way.... £10 for mint secondhand on Amazon, can't go wrong.
    Thanks all.
  • I killed so many hours as a teenager (in the 90s) playing Golden eye

It's a classic multiplayer game. I can't wait till my kids are older and I'll buy a secondhand N64 and let rip with the golden gun...
  • Good choice, Goldeneye with out a shadow of doubt, though like ringo I'm biased and spent wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too long playing it in the 90's
  • Ah 1997/8. Happy years. Only stopped playing Goldeneye to play Mario Kart 64.

    Anyone else hate Oddjob?

Please don't use foul language like "Oddjob" when talking about Goldeneye! The arguments caused by that frustrating little bowler hat on legs meant he was outlawed as a character when playing amongst friends :p

Really miss sofa-bound multiplayer games. The fascination with online has effectively killed one of the things I always enjoyed best about gaming :(

Just wanted to say thank you for all the pointers on here..

DS (11) is loving Goldeneye!! its brilliant, after years of Mario Kart I didn't know our clunky old Wii had this standard of gameplay in it, its like a new console!

So far he is struggling to get out the night club, just doesn't seem to have enough fire power to blast his way out but sure he will work it out.

So any other suggestions for 'must have' games that push the old Wii a bit? He does like car/driving games but has taken to the role play games well..

Preferably no games with bad language, drugs or bonking!

    Thanks.

(Thor, Captain America and A Shadows Tale look interesting)
  • LOL blast from the past or what hehe.. many hours spent on goldeneye - mostly shouting at natalya to get out of whatever wall she was stuck in lolol :P
They say you only live once. If you live like I do, once is enough.
