Huge electricity usage, which energy monitor is best?

No, immersion is off, have never used it. I know it's off as water is stone cold by the time it gets round to heating it for my bath again.
Account is in credit by around £130, but that will probably get eaten by the higher heating costs as we go into winter.
House is well insulated so gas usage is low, Eon tool says we use 44% less than similar homes.0 -
I've got a Current Cost energy monitor which is connected to my router which gives an ongoing graph of my usage and has a display so you can see whats happening instantaneously. Have a look a the Loop energy monitor as well. It certainly allows you to see what's going on and to investigate stuff that's turned on and make sure that you've turned it all off before going to bed.
A plug-in unit like the Belkin or mine's a Maplin one can let you check the consumption of individual devices - Current Cost also do plug-in individual monitors which can be remotely monitored.
As said above, monitor your consumption in kw, not moneyNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
How big is the property? Lots of bedrooms, kitchen with dozens of halofen spotlights etc? Tumble drier? Fish tank?
There is really nothing on your list to account for such high usage otherwise, so you need to start taking regular meter readings (PS: that's the most accurate monitor you can have). No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thanks again everyone.
It's just average sized 3 bed ex council house, one bedroom unused as my son is at Uni.
No tumble drier, halogen lights or fish tanks, I am truly puzzled by the high usage and leaning towards it having to be the computers or a faulty meter.
Will be looking at the monitors mentioned - (thanks all) and taking daily reading from now on to see if I can pin it down.0
