I particularly like, in the "To Let" section:
    The Great Bowyard, Langport

These houses were built with the belief that the future's not sustainable and we're all going to die. Hall, sitting room/dining room, utility, kitchen, cloakroom, bathroom, three bedrooms, garden and parking. Available August. Suit miserable git who likes composting.

  • LOL,
once saw a property described as being "within staggering distance of the pub" and thought that was odd but this fella really makes me laugh.

Actually, I reckon this guy Ralph Bending is on to something. It's a pretty good marketing strategy he's got there "Tell it like it is, add a bit of comedy". You want to trust the guy, because he sounds like "one of us".

Whether his ads generate real business versus public interest is another matter, however.

Actually that rather appealed to me

    Miserable git; yep :o

Likes composting; I'd be happy to give it a go

It's an interesting development, check out the builders website.

    Priceless!

Particularly tickled me as I was born and spent the first 25 years of my life in East Leake and know Thrumpton is miles away. I can just imagine the snobbish misguided vendor being a complete a*se and demanding his property is listed under the more desirable East Leake section.

As much as I don't see the point of EAs, I do sypathise with their plight of having to deal with Joe W*nker Public all day.

    This was my favourite:-

Jump in at the cheap end and buy yourself this caravan on a mobile home park in Pedwell. Sitting room, kitchen/dining room, bedroom and bathroom. Live like a didi with no thought for tomorrow. Monthly park fee applies.
