Traffic Management Speeds

Hi folks,
I am currently with Sky who do not do traffic management but thinking of moving to EE who do traffic manage.
My understanding is that EE limit P2P to 1 megabyte per second at peak times.
So if my broadband speed is 4 meg then does that mean that P2P would be limited to 1/4 of that speed?
I'm confusing my megabytes, megabits kilobits and all that jazz.
Cheers

"4 meg" broadband is 4Mb/s - 4 megaBITS per second. 8 bits in a byte, so 4 megabits per second = 0.5 megabytes per second. So, you won't be hitting the EE limit.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?

Thanks very much WTFH, so in that case even if I had an "8meg" connection.... 8 divided by 8 = 1 megabyte per second...
The 1 megabyte per second traffic management wouldn't affect any P2P I happened to do?
To be honest I don't even do much P2P but I just wanted to know that when I do, its not going to take me a week to download a 1 hour tv show.A big believer in karma, you get what you give :A

If you want to download the show quickly, then switch off whatever P2P programs you are running.
It shouldn't slow the download down too much, but running P2P will always have a bit of a hit on performance.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?

I think the OP means the TV show is downloaded USING P2P.

I considered that, but since it's illegal, I'd prefer not to give advice on it.;)1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
