Hi im about to have a hearing about a employment issue, where i have not been fit since 2011,i have posted before, but just do not understand this up to date letter.
It says that at the hearing they will question the disciplinary action against me,is this normal practice ?
I have been straight with them,I had a meeting around two months ago and was asked various questions about my health etc, which i answered.
what more can i do,I was only in hospital a week ago, damn these people dont let you recover.
Thanks to all replies

If you have been unfit for two years, you cannot criticise the employer for not allowing you sufficient time to recover - most would have dismissed you long ago.
What exactly does the letter say?0 -
Basically what ive put at the top,to question disciplinary action against me,for being off sick, all this time period.0

So as a employer they can discipline someone whom is off sick,is that what you are saying,jacques0

They can, yes. Some employers will have a separate capability procedure, but ultimately it all falls under the same umbrella - you can be dismissed if you are unable to fulfil your contractual obligations.0 -
Ok,fair enough, what about this notice period,i was reading on the cab web site, what is tHat about,Jacques.0

What does that mean ? sorry.0

Most of the time, when an employee is dismissed, the employer cannot say "You are sacked. Leave now". They must give you notice. This means that instead of leaving immediately, you leave in say a month or so, depending on the notice period you are entitled to. How long have you worked for your employer?0

Or they tell you to leave now and pay you the money to cover your notice period.0
