Ignored UKCPS ticket until 10 day notice - help please?

Hey everyone,
In August I found a UKCPS parking ticket outside my (rented) flat for not displaying a valid parking permit on my car.
Even though the car is parked in the same area every other day for the last six months with a valid permit displayed on the dash, I guess the wind must have caught it, as the permit was in the footwell.
At any rate, I was told to ignore the letters and they'll go away, but today I received a '10 day notice before Court Action' letter, and I came on here and saw that the advice has changed and these types of things should now be appealed to get the POPLA code (which I haven't done). Am I too late for this? UKCPS have decided that my 'fine' is currently £125.
Any advice on some next steps to take would be appreciated.
Thank you

Were you the driver? The best solution would be for you to name the driver (fingers crossed it was someone else in the flat
) which will reset the clock and let you appeal the ticket.

The next steps are covered in the sticky threads including the option to name the driver (fingers crossed it was someone else in the flat
) but ONLY recommended when there has never been a windscreen ticket and I think this sounds like it was a windscreen ticket case.
If this was a windscreen ticket case then the advice is NOT to imply who the driver was AT ALL and in fact I suggest you change your first post because UKCPS read this forum.
Read the 'LBCCC Fightback Guidance thread', and the 'Newbies...read this now' which are both sticky threads = info threads permanently stuck at the top:

You have a Letter before Claim there, effectively, so now is the time for the registered keeper to respond (not the driver!). Hope you kept the other letters because UKCPS have been using some dodgy wording in their yellow/white Notice to Keeper letters.
What, specifically, does your NTK say about 'Appeals Procedures' on the front? You may be able to also complain to the BPA if the wording is about stolen cars only.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks guys.
Yeah I'm the registered keeper of the car rather than the driver at the time, so the notices have come to me. I'll dig out the NtK and see what it says, and post on here.
Thanks again!0 -
Check out your contract with the landlord regarding the parking space and find out who employs UKCPS - the landlord or a managing agent.
You are paying rent for the privilege of both the flat and the associated parking space and should complain both to the landlord and/or managing agent.
Your local rent officer at your local housing department may also be able to assist you. Complain that you feel you are being harassed to pay a parking charge when you are already paying rent for the flat and space.0 -

Keep it that way in your responses to this fake PCN, as per the LBCCC fightback guidance thread. But first, let's hear about that NTK wording!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This was good advice, and something that I overlooked. I got in touch with the property management company, explained the situation and they said that they would ring UKCPS to get the ticket wiped. They just confirmed the cancellation to me this morning via email.
Thank you very much for your help everyone, it's really appreciated :beer:0 -
Another targeted complaint pays dividends - well done OP :T (and 4consumerrights for giving sound, workable advice :T).Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
