A friend of mine who is an MSE member is having problems connecting to the net. She managed to get this message to me. Has anybody any idea what the problem could be. She had a new modem in a Packard Bell a few months ago.

Hi - Have you had any problems with Fast 4? this is the first time i have been able to access email, let alone Internet. don't know what the trouble is but I have looked on the troubleshooting site and I'm getting nowhere. Fast4 keeps repeatedly asking me to accept the Avenue Media Software End-User Licence Agreement and although I keep clicking Yes it keeps returning. I've tried other ways and it also asks if the configuration is correct - I don't know, why should it be any different? If I try to connect to the Internet I get an error message and bottom right is says Unknown Zone. When I try Outlook Express I get the message: "The host speed-mail.co.uk could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly." . I don't know what's gone wrong. I noticed on Saturday that the pc made a funny noise when I switched it on and yesterday I couldnt access email or internet at all. I have only just found out how to get this far by clicking on the desktop icon instead of the shortcut. One of the icon's bottom right is saying: "not initialised", wonder if its the modem, might try that next. If you've had similar problems, and have an idea what I'm doing wrong I'd appreciate your advice. Hope this transmits ok.
