I used to think 'tracking' my finances was enough, but it's kind of pointless without a budget to plan for the future with as well. So I went through a number of iPhone apps to 'track' our expenses before finally discovering and falling in love with YNAB.

Anyway, the apps I used that you could look at were Moneywiz by Silverwiz, and Money by Jumsoft. Both have iPhone, iPad and Mac versions although none support receipt scanning - I don't think that's really possible, you'd spend longer correcting the scan mistakes than you would tapping it in by hand in the first place!

(I really strongly recommend YNAB though. Yeah it's not cheap, that's what I thought too, but it's 100% worth it for both tracking and budgeting. Try their demo or you can get 10% off with a referral link, or they have sales a couple of times a year)

Also, YNAB is really easy to use and if you have any difficulties whatsoever their support forum is packed with mods and users willing to help with anything at all. I know, I sound like a salesman but my finances have never been stronger since starting to use it so I tell everyone about it!
