Electricity, water and gas cannot be cut off when you don't pay your bill, it takes at least a month of arrears for anything to happen and even at that point most providers will give you some leeway as they understand people have problems and that losing electricity and water can cause even more problems. That's something you don't need to worry about in the short term -- unless you've already had a disconnection notice?
Have you spoken to the citizens advice bureau about what may be available to you locally?0 -
Foodbank notices can be found in church notice boards, bigger store of Tesco notice board there and in my town there is a poster giving name of our local charity in the window of an independent pawn broker :T
Have you any old unwanted/unused clothes - online google you can arrange 'cash for clothes' collection, something to consider
Don't underestimate what you could be entitled to - first stop is your council website or give them a call
Many hugs x0 -

Food Banks.
There are so many people that will give you a hand when you need it most, Places like The Shekinah Mission will give you a basket of food to the last the 2 of you 1 week. It will not be amazing dinners, but it's definitely better than going hungry.0
