LV Britannia Rescue - Anyone any experience?

Hi all,
We're interested in taking out the Nationwide FlexPlus account. For a £10 a month fee it includes free breakdown cover through LV Britannia Rescue (plus other cover like mobile phone insurance etc...)
We've only ever been with The AA or RAC, but as covering ourselves with them is the same or more as the back account fees, we feel like it might be worth a go, especially as in 7 years we've only had to call them out twice.
Anyone got any experience of Britannia Rescue?
Cheers in advance,
Tom

Britannia rescue have been around for years. I had cover with them with my first couple if cars in the 1980s. They don't have their own fleet as such but tend to use a range of independent breakdown garages.
Can't remember their being an issue with them when I was with them, but that was a long time ago.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0 -
I was with Britannia Rescue when I was a member of, and it was a part of, the Civil Service Motoring Association (CSMA). I had no problems with them whatsoever. IIRC, they had a policy of "three justified complaints against a breakdown operator, and they were out". But this was over 10 years ago.If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

Yes, I'm with them through CSMA and found them fine. We've used them quite a bit, especially my daughter who's used them if she gets a puncture or has a car problem anywhere.
As said above, they use local garages - on one occasion they arrived within 3 minutes of me hanging up as the depot was across the road, but I have been kept waiting an hour or so on 'busy' days where an operator has had to come from some distance away.
You do also get a very good personal service with helpful call staff.0 -
Cheers all. Very helpful.0

I've been a member through the CSMA for years - only had a couple of call outs in that time and they turned up when they said they would on both occasions.0

Though I've not had to call them out for some years, they were very good when I did, and I've also heard very good reports about their European cover.0

My Dad uses them, and we broke down about 6 weeks ago when I was with him. They came out in about 40 mins and weren't able to fix it at the roadside but towed it home, then picked it up the following morning to take it to the garage.
The tow trucks then came out were just from a local company.0
