Buyer Requirements

I listed 12 items last night. I always set my Buyer Requirements thus;

Block buyers who:
  • Don't have a PayPal account
  • Have received 2 unpaid item case(s) within 12 month(s)
  • Have a primary delivery address in countries that I don't post to
  • Have 4 policy violation report(s) within 6 month(s)
  • Have a Feedback score equal to or lower than -1
  • Have a Feedback score of 0 or lower and no credit card on file
I needed to revise one of the items last night and noticed that the Buyer Requirements summary only showed 3 of the above (no PayPal, Countries & Feedback -1).

I re-set to the full list. I then checked my other 11 and they were the same so I changed them all.

This morning I have re-checked and they have all reverted back to the basic 3 again?

Anyone know why it's doing this?
Is there a way of checking the settings without going into 'revise my item'?

thanks!

  • Click on 'Sell' then 'Sell an Item' and then tick the advanced sell box.

    E-bay have recently altered the quick sell form to default to the options you are finding (and don't want).

    Yes , I'd noticed the default 'quick sell' when you click 'sell', but I am definitely using the 'advanced sell' template so it's not that.
  • Whoops - I see what you mean. All my listings of the last couple of days have been altered to 'Seller pays return postage' which I normally have as 'BUYER pays return costs.
    Each of my listings has a nice green box saying 'FREE RETURNS'.

    I am getting seriously annoyed with e-Bay. If I place an ad in the local paper, I do not expect them to materially alter the content.

    Incidentally I normally pay return postage except for 'change of mind' returns.

    Just went to 'revise' the item I altered this morning to see and the buyer requirements are back to;

    Block buyers who:
    • Have received 2 unpaid item case(s) within 12 month(s)
    • Have a primary delivery address in countries that I don't post to
    • Have a Feedback score equal to or lower than -1
    Would be helpful if another private seller who listed over the weekend is getting the same problem!
