Hi everyone,
Glad to see you back JackieO, I'll have to go back over the last few days to see what you've been up to, but it sounds painful.
We had a very mixed weekend, we took possession of our new house which was exciting but also visited mum in hosptal and she isn't doing very well at all. She's suddenly become an old lady which is horrible to see, I really don't know if she'll evre be able to live independently again. She was also getting confused which is not like her.
Today I have to take all the cardboard to the recycling centre and then go into Cambridge to collect a chain for DD's birthday (it was in February but we've only just managed to source a chain to match the antique locket her BF gave her).
Ok, plans have just changed, DS just rang, he hurt his ankle yesterday and I might have to take him to A & E>0 -
Morning all,
Bit cold and bleak here today. Washing on airer and rads!
Had a lovely weekend away, B&B was pleasant enough with a lovely breakfast. Neice's Wedding was fabulous, she looked so beautiful (don't all brides?) everything went so well and in a lovely venue too. Got a blister from all that dancing though!
Chicken and whatever veg I can scrape together today as I can't be bothered to go and buy more.
Have a good day everyone.
Tru - the baubles are great

Posting on the run as I have a quota to reach today dontcha know
Training went well and it was lovely staying in a hotel, especially the meals that I didn't have to cook or wash up after.
Now for the nasty (but lucrative-ish) bit xI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Morning al!
Where did that weekend go? Was okay out on Friday with my friends, I drove, so left fairly early at 9am. Saturday we went for a fun day at Williams F1 HQ which was great fun, and yesterday was spent mostly hugging the toilet, as I had a pint the did not agree with me on Saturday night!! Definitely didn't drink enough to warrant how ill I was! So off the booze again till my birthday.
Not much OS to report here, Got to put some washes on tonight, and might prepare a pie for dinner tomorrow, finding it near on impossible to find the right leek and quorn pie recipe - so any pointers would be lovely.
Hope everyone is okay!
Hugs to those who need/want them. will go catch up on what I have missed!0 -
Morning all,
It's been a busy weekend one way or another, I definitely have a quieter time during the week.
DG glad you had a nice anniversary
I'm out with dh today's we pick DGS up mid afternoon. Once my daughter lands home we plan a trip to Bents Garden. Centre, my favourite place for a couple of bits and bobs.
Yesterday was lovely. Dh and I went out for a drive and a walk along the canal, had a look at some of the areas we would like to move to once our youngest is at Uni. Then we had a lovely lunch and home to watch United beat Arsenal:D dh lit the fire and we had a lovely snuggle. I also managed to order almost all my Christmas presents. toys are us had 20% off over the weekend so ordered DGS castle and Debenhams had a sale on so ordered 3 different perfume sets and got free delivery, also ordered my daughters hair dryer from Amazon and dad some pjs. I was very pleased with myself. Once they all land I am going to have a wrapping day and then they can all go away until Christmas Day.
I need to be very organised. My knee replacement is in 14 days , two weeks today:eek: I spoke to my cousin yesterday who had hers done three months ago and she assured me I won't be in any state to even think about Christmas shopping so it all needs to be done. Mum and dad will come and look after me once I'm home as dh can't afford the time off work, he is hoping to have a week off at Christmas. Christmas Day I have lots if helpers. My dd and DIL to be will do the cooking along with mum and I shall sit with my leg up:D
Anyway off for a cuppa, have a good day xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning all!
I am spending the morning catching up with the laundry, as I am stuck in waiting for DD's new phone being delivered. Have already researched the London tube stations near to our apartment for the weekend, as my friend has rheumatoid arthritis and the closest station only had stairs, so now I know where we are going! Better get the WM emptied and the next load on, have a good day all!RIP Iain

I have been put on the list to have the first carpal tunnel operation done, but they are not sure if it will work or not, because they said the problems with my hands could be anyone of a number of things, so it is trial and error basically . The registrar told me it should be 8- 12 weeks and I said that is ok that I do not want to have it before Christmas and marked it on the paperwork.
We then went to sort out the new stove on the way back, so that is done.
Just got in and was enjoying a cup of coffee and my mobile went, it was the booking in department asking me if I wanted another consultant to do the operation because they could do it on the 4th December:eek: Needless to say I declined, I told them that I asked for after Christmas and that I would prefer my own consultant doing the operation. besides I can't imagine my lot coping with cooking a Christmas dinner and I need to make plenty of HM ready meals, I really do not fancy two weeks of fried foods courtesy of DH.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Afternoon All,
Very pleasant day here and not too cold.
Had DGS for a couple of hours this morning. His current "thing" is Power Rangers and his other nanny had got him some figures and made a bag with his name on it to keep them in. He spent most of the morning playing with them.
Left him off to Nursery just before 12.30pm; he just loves it there.
Was expecting a letter about my pension today, but it didn't arrive, just hope it comes tomorrow.
Have a good day everyone :beer:0
