DSR - do I need to be worried?

Hi, just looking for a bit of advice really re DSRs. Out of 59 transactions I have one single star rating for dispatch time. All my other ratings are around the 4.9/5.0 mark. I can't work out how I warranted one star on that particular sale as I dispatched the same day, but that's another story.
I don't sell very much as I'm a private seller and just use Ebay to have a clearout from time to time. At the moment I have very little to sell. Because of this as time goes by that single star is going to represent a higher percentage of my sales. Especially as about half of my sales don't bother to leave feedback at all.
Do I need to worry? I don't want to lose my seller privileges. Any advice on what I should do to prevent that happening - or needn't I worry as that is only one low star rating out of 59?

The only figures that count are your percentages from your seller dashboard.
What are they?
Your allowed 2% in most categories (1% in description) - so sounds like your just under - for now.0 -
Thanks for the reply. My scores are (over 12 months):
Item as described 4.97 0%
Communication 5.00 0%
Dispatch time 4.84 1.69% (1)
P&P 4.97 0%0 -
You could have got a low star because it took a long time to arrive. Most buyers don't think of rating dispatch as how quickly the item was posted (as they should).... The only thing they will think about are the days passing without their purchase.0

For dispatch you are allowed a maximum of 2% or 3 lows in the total number of transactions, whichever is beneficial to you.
At the moment you are fine, but need to keep a close eye on your DSR dashboard. If you get another dispatch low, or the percentage creeps up you need to list more. With low volume sellers this is best done on a free listing weekend, with low value £1 to start items.
Remember you percentages are based on the number of transactions, and not the total of feedback left.0 -

It is actually 2% plus 3 lows, so a small seller needs 3 low ratings to be suspended.
That is over a year so it basically means for a small seller they must not get more than 3 low stars in any one category, the percentage though may well hit 2% on as few as 2 or even 1 sometimes.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Not quite. A seller can have three lows in one category, and under 2% and still trade.
If they get a fourth low, their percentage needs to be below 2% to be allowed to continue. Hence the advice often given to keep selling.0 -

That's what I said (badly I know) , both the percentage and the number must be over the limit. So a small seller must keep below both 3 stars and 2%. They can have 5 (any number) stars and 1.8% .
I used the expression 'small seller' as they usually go over the 2% quite quickly, so the stars are the ones to watch.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Some people get annoyed when they get a low star and don't list for a while.
But the more you list - the better (if you avoid low stars that is). It dilutes the low star.
P&P is the easiest to put right - just offer free P&P. But in your case - dispatch - its still not too bad. Just post ASAP. If you think your a little late posting and they paid 2nd class - upgrade to 1st. Its worth it to keep your ratings.
I have a lot of £1 items laying around that sell easy and quicky. They aren't worth listing normally. I save them - and when one of my accounts gets low stars - i bang them on so my sales numbers increas and percentages for DSR fall sharply.0 -
Thanks techspec - that seems like sound advice. Now, what to sell...0
