Bellway New Build

Hello.

We are buying a Bellway New Build.

The house is up and roof is on, scaffolding is down. So its just the windows and interiors to do......does anyone have any experience of how long it will take for them to finish the house, ready for us to move in?
They reckon it will be done by 7th December.....I know I'm no expert, but there seems to be a lot to do in just a few weeks!

Thanks
Andy

  • Depends on the size of the property really, we were told 6-8 weeks by TW from the house being weatherproof

Have you asked them if you can inspect the property with the site manager?
  • It's a 3 bedroom semi detached house.

They told us that we could go in with the site manager at some point, but didn't say when we could do that.

On the day I moved into my Bellway new build they had just started the foundations on the 3 bed semi- detached house at the end of the road. It was let by the HA and tenants moved in 4 weeks after me.
  • Bought a bellway home not too long ago. My property was nearly finished when I first viewed. I moved in a month and a half after. However the larger houses opposite I was originally told by the sales lady they would be finished in June, they weren't complete until September.
An opinion is just that..... An opinion

how long it takes will largely depend on how many people they have to work on it, they could probably have it done within a week by putting everyone on it if they needed it done by a certain date
