Premium Listing Automatic Postage Stars

Just started off some auctions on which I am offering free postage in order for them to qualify as ebay Premium Listings.
I am offering Royal Mail 2nd Class and also have to offer a next day service.
I know if I were to leave it like that I would automatically get 5 stars for postage.

However, what if I also offer 1st class for an extra 50p and someone goes for it..... Does that mean they can then leave stars for postage?

Buyers can rate postage costs if they pay for it, so if they were to choose next day delivery or first class, you would be rated on it.

I disagree, as long as the first option is free then the buyer cannot subsequently leave stars regardless of what postage option they choose.

The qualifiaction is merely that the seller must be offering free postage as their first option.

If you are looking for TRS listings then your premium service must be special delivery. If you are looking just for automatic 5* on p and P then the main option must be free, everything else is immaterial.

Free postage qualifies for the TRS listing, but any paid option on postage can be rated, and has always been so.

First class did quality for PRS (premium rated seller) but that was a glitch.

    http://www2.ebay.com/aw/uk/201307.shtml#2013-07-30153502

To be PRS you need an express option, amongst the other requirements:

A minimum returns period of 14 calendar days, using the new way of specifying your returns policy.
    1-day or same-day dispatch.
An express delivery option – offering delivery within 1 day.
    A free postage option.

Edit - sorry didn't mean to quote but reply, am on a phone....corrected now.

Dublin have assured me and many others on the TRS board that offering other options does not open us up to having stars left. Indeed I bought from a buyer on ebay.com and paid extra as I am overseas, and was not able to leave stars. I realise ebay.com does not automatically work the same, but it shows the system is there.

I have had mine set up with 2nd free, 1st pay a bit extra, courier pay a stupid amount, for around 6 months now. I've had a few pick up 1st and still have 5.0/100% average on P&P.

I'm sorry to disagree Soolin but I only offer free 2nd class & then Special Delivery/24 Hour Courier at £6.25 and I have had 2 low stars left for postage and obviously both of those were from the buyers that paid £6.25 for next day delivery on a £3 order.
