Hey guys,
I was unemployed for nearly 12 months, i have finaly found work providing I pass a work trial which I am three days into.
Someone mentioned that I could be entitled to a back to work grant, to help with costs when I sign of but i cant seem to find much info on it, and getting any info from JC is pretty difficult.

The Back to Work grant was phased out in April of this year.
Depending on your circumstances you may be entitled to a 'run on' of housing benefit and council tax reduction for 4 weeks.
Also you may now be entitled to tax credits, again, depending on your circumstances.
If you are claiming any of these benefits then you should advise them of your change of circumstances so they can reassess your claims.
Hope everything works out well with the job.0 -
Ok thanks.
I was just trying to work out the entitlment we would recieve.
Not sure if its right, but based on me working 10.5 hours a day, 5 days a week on minimum, me and my partner would be eligible for £34 a week in working tax credit? Which i thought looked rather low?0 -

Difficult to tell without knowing more details.
How old are you and your partner? Have you any children?
