Parking ticket at McDonalds by MET

I recently received a parking ticket at McDonalds while being a customer.
Ticket has been issued by MET.
(Interesting enough, on their website, when you go to appeal page and enter your notice number and Reg number, the site informs that information does not match, but as soon as you enter the same info on the payment page to pay, its matched within a second.)
Can anyone advice how I can appeal this ticket please?

Was it a ticket on the car or through the post ? Is this England or Wales ? Are you 18 or over ? Are you the registered keeper?

Even with a busy queue and eating in, I'm puzzled how anyone can stretch out to 60 mins in there let alone 76mins (gone shopping elsewhere in between?0 -
Okay did you receive the Notice to Keeper within 14 days of parking ?

Many reasons, you could for example be having a birthday party there, or even meeting someone there who is late arriving, or could have broken down .When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

Notice was issued 5 days after the date of the ticket.
I was away and opened the letter yesterday.
The McDonalds is in the middle of nowhere near the airport. No shopping or anything else in the area. I was in the restaurant the whole time.0 -
Okay you need to send an appeal to them disputing that the amount claimed is a genuine pre-estimate of loss, you didn't see any signs so no contract was formed, they don't have the authority to issue these tickets to drivers, you are a customer (give copy of receipt) , if they reject come back here for advice about going to popla.
But read the first few pages of this forum so you can see what is needed, keep all appeals as coming from the registered keeper, don't admit to driving. Also make complaints to mcdonalds, speak to the managerWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

As a point of interest, that may or may not be helpful, there is another thread running about overstaying a 90min period at MCD's, which matches my local branches.
Why do they think you only need 60min to enjoy their product here and 90 elsewhere?0 -
I just spoke to the manager at McDonalds. He said he has cancelled the ticket. Thanks for your advice!!!0
