With temporary work you start accruing paid holiday entitlement as soon as you start.
As agencies will pay the minimum
(unless the agency workers directive has kicked in with higher holiday because directly employed staff would have greater entitlement),
the temporary worker accrues paid leave at the rate of 12.07% of the hours worked.0 -
the fist week was £297.54 which was for 4 days and the next was for £358.84 which was for 5 days1 week 298.70 2 week 374.27
30 mins what i took but think was allowed 1 hr ?
they don't look right for gross and net.
on £298.7 the NI would be £17.96.
you need to put everything on the payslip into a post.0 -
Hi
I did a Temp job recnetly and was advised it was paying £10-£12 per Hour from 8.30 to 5.30
That can't be right for a start. It would be a fixed amount per hour or possibly something like £10 for work between 08:30 and 5:30 and £12 for work outside those hours.
The job advert might have stated £10-£12 an hour but your job offer letter/contract should have given a fixed amount.0 -

Don't post the NI number, your name or address or the company's name or address on here!0 -
Why don't you just phone the agency?0

Hi
I did a Temp job recnetly and was advised it was paying £10-£12 per Hour from 8.30 to 5.30 but when i got the firs pay slip as you are aware the angey pays in Arrears the fist week was £297.54 which was for 4 days and the next was for £358.84 which was for 5 days but it not come up to the rate quoted in the advert
Can some please advise if can do some thing as the temp was an on going one which i thought was good but got cxld after less then 2 weeks as I am sure you would agree that is not engough tome for a some to find out how good you are in what you are doing or had the agency taken me for ride since then I have had not had call or email from the agency and because of this temp postion lost other job which was temp to perm within 2 weeks
We concentrated on the first paragraph of your post.
Turning to the second paragraph, I would not agree that two weeks is necessarily not enough time to decide how well someone is able to do work. For some jobs, the first hour would be enough. As we don't know what the job was, I'll not guess what might apply in the case of someone being assessed for it.
Unless you get a contract from an agency which specifies a minimum notice period, do not count on going back to a job the next day never mind the next few weeks. Also, for the future, do not trust that a temp job will turn into a permanent one just because you stay in it for a few weeks as a temp.0 -
A temp job is temp. There may have been an expectation that it would continue indefinitely or they may have misled you (who knows)?
There is no guarantee of any work. They may not have had the money to pay any more, they may have decided not to have the role anymore, they may not have liked you etc etc.
What you need to do is work out what dates your payslip covers.
