Hi
We have been eager beavers and booked our 2008 holiday already.
We are going to Riviere sands in Cornwall for 7 nights in August 2008 and have chosen a platinum caravan.
Have any of you stayed in a platinum?
Was it really worth the extra money?
We are staying at Hopton in a gold caravan in August (paid by Tesco Clubcard deals) as our autistic son loves caravan holidays.
We thought about going abroad but i saw the platinum caravans with seaviews and thought they looked fab.
Any reviews of platinum caravans.Riviere Sands welcome

Yes I stayed in a Platinum caravan once. I only booked a bronze but when we checked in they gave us a Platinum at no extra cost. if I had paid for it it would have been worth the extra money. The decor of the van was lovely, there was outside decking area with deck chairs, the kitchen had all mod cans such as microwave, deep fat fryer, popcorn maker, coffee maker, juicer, sandwich toaster etc etc. There was a TV in every bedroom and a TV and DVD player in the lounge. The coffee table was also a stereo and there was generally much more space than in a cheap caravan. That one was at Primrose Valley in Yorkshire.
However, having said that if your planning on being out most of the day and only using it to sleep you would probably only need a cheap caravan.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -
I have also stayed in a platinum caravan, in Perran Sands, Cornwall. It was during the Easter hols and as the season had only just started we were literally the first people to use it. It was very luxurious, but friends we were with had the next category down, theirs was also lovely, I think the only noticeable difference was that theirs didn't have heating in the bedrooms. It was a couple of years ago, things may have changed.0
