SEAGATE SSHD CHALLENGE TERMS AND CONDITIONS (THE "OFFICIAL RULES")
OVERVIEW
Seagate® SSHD Challenge Game is a Facebook game application and is a part of a promotion that begins on November 4th 2013 at 12:00 GMT and ends on December 2nd 2013 at 11:59 GMT (the "promotion period"). Seagate® Technology LLC is the owner of this application and shall also be referred to as the 'Sponsor'. Through this application, which can also be referred to as "SSHD Challenge" and/or "game application" and/or "game", the 2 (two) registered players with the highest scores each week will receive a prize as further detailed below. The game application provides entry to a skill-based game. This game is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook. By playing the game, you are providing your information to the Sponsor and not to Facebook.
The aim of the game is to promote the Sponsor’s products in an entertaining way.
SSHD Challenge" can be reached via the SSHD Challenge Facebook application tab link located at http://www.facebook.com/SeagateUK and https://www.facebook.com/sshd-challenge/ addresses. No entry fees or product purchases are required to participate in the game.
Individuals who accept and access the Facebook game application (the 'players' and/or ‘entrants’), agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are binding and final on all matters relating to the game application.
ELIGIBILITY


Game is open to legal residents of the United Kingdom, 18 years of age or older. Employees of Sponsor, its subsidiaries, affiliates, promotion and advertising agencies, and members of their immediate family (spouse and parent, children and siblings and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and persons living in the same household, whether or not related, of such employees, are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited by law. Game is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.
GAME APPLICATION
The game application hosts a 'trivia' genre game. The game is based on collecting points by answering questions correctly in a limited time. There are two game types. HDD game type time limit is 30 seconds and SSD game type time limit is 20 seconds.
All players' answer times, correct and wrong answers are recorded to the game database. When a player clicks on "HDD GAME" or "SSD GAME" after clicking "PLAY NOW" button, a game session begins. The server-side game software randomly selects a competitor against the player according to their level and / or other information which may be optimised during the promotion by the Sponsor if necessary. Once a competitor is selected, 5 questions will randomly be picked from the list of questions that the competitor has already answered. the promotion by the Sponsor if necessary. Once a competitor is selected, 5 questions will randomly be picked from the list of questions that the competitor has already answered.
The level of a player allows them to have access to a bigger pool of questions, receive more points per correct answer and more time bonuses. A player's level is 1 at the beginning of the game and the player may receive 200 points for giving a correct answer to a HDD or SSD question. The highest level which can be reached by a player is 10 and players may receive 380 points for giving a correct HDD or SSD answer. To jump to levels from 1 to 10 players should win, 10,10,15,15,20,20,25,30,35 challenges, respectively.

A time bonus is given to players who finish a session before their competitors. This bonus may change according to a player's level and the amount of time spent answering the questions.time.
The 'GET POINTS' section allows players to receive points by learning more about the Laptop SSHD and Desktop SSHD products. Available points are displayed on every link and Sponsor may add content and / or points as it sees fit during the promotion at all times making sure that all players can benefit from any such changes.
Game passes are used to pass a question. If a question is passed, no points are awarded and player's and competitor's answers are not compared. If a competitor has used a pass and if the player gives the right answer, the player is awarded points. If a competitor has used a pass and if the player gives the wrong answer, all calculations are ignored for that particular question. At the end of each game session, points of both players and competitors and the winner are displayed.
PROMOTION RULES AND SCORING SYSTEM
Players are asked to fill out and submit the information required on the registration form prior to playing the game. Real personal data should be given. If players’ details, such as: name, surname, e-mail address and / or date of birth information are incorrect, they will not be eligible to win a prize and all players agree to this rule by submitting their information.

At the end of every game application week, the registered players with the 2 (two) highest scores are listed on the weekly Winners section on http://www.facebook.com/SeagateUK/app_566531470061545. At the end of a game week, the 2 (two) players with the highest scores will be deemed a potential winner of the prizes which are listed below. During the game, points will be reset in the beginning of every game week. At the end of the promotion month, the player with the highest score of all weeks will be deemed a potential winner of the grand prize which is either a desktop or a laptop. The players pick their grand prize during registration.

Grand Prize(s): According to players' choices: Alienware Laptop 17" or Alienware Aurora Desktop. The grand prize costs may not exceed $2.500 for the laptop and $3.000 for the desktop.
The 2 (two) players with the highest scores each week will be ineligible to win another weekly prize throughout the promotion period and are therefore are not listed on the leader boards. But, since they are eligible to win the grand prize, they may continue playing with the game and the player with the highest score will be listed on another leader board which can be viewed at http://www.facebook.com/SeagateUK/app_566531470061545 also.
If two or more players' scores are the same, the player with the most correct answers will be listed above the other tied players. In case of further conflict, the player with the highest amount of games, the most game session time and earlier registration date will be listed above the other tied players. Winners will be contacted via their submitted e-mail address. If no reply is received from them within X days, they then may not be entitled to receive a prize.
VIOLATION OF GAME MECHANICS AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Players can only play the game application at http://apps.facebook.com/sshd-challenge address.
If players:



Send requests from any mechanism other than the official game application itself Send requests that do not comply with the game mechanics Interfere and/or illegally reach the game application server and/or change database information. Reverse engineer, modify and / or change the game application's client file Are younger than 18 (eighteen) years of age Use any software or hardware that would alter the game application mechanics such as slowing down its frame rate or changes its scoring system. Use multiple browsers and / or browser tabs and / or hardware to create multiple sessions while one of his or her game sessions is active The player will be "blacklisted" and will not be able to continue playing the game or participate in the promotion. The player cannot be a winner and cannot receive any prizes in relation to the game. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilised in the game. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to players or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in this game or downloading materials from or use of the web site. Players are encouraged to use up to date computer hardware and recent software. Using older systems may cause poor gaming experience that may lead to loss of data, inequalities between players and unexpected game and / or player termination. Recommended system settings are Intel i3 2.2Ghz micro processor or equivalent, 4GB RAM, high speed internet connection, up to date browser and Adobe Flash Player.



Except where prohibited by local law, by participating, the player agrees that Sponsor, its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising and promotion agencies and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively, "Released Parties") will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against, any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind to persons, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in this game. Players who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the game or website or who are in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and all associated entries will be void. This game is governed by State of California, United States of America law and is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state, and local laws. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this game must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in California, United States of America. Should any portion of the game be, in Sponsor’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorised human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of entries, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the game and, if terminated, at its discretion, determine the potential winner for the applicable week(s) from all eligible, non-suspect game scores received for the applicable week(s) prior to action taken or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor.
All players agree that they cannot be entitled to any compensation and/or prize due to any technical difficulty caused by a player's software or hardware, internet connection, game application program and/or database service and/or any platform problems that the game application is reached from.
All players understand and accept the terms and conditions stated in this document.

lots and lots of effort needed as it just keeps going til you lose a challenge and there are different stages as well not sure if the level you are at on the scoreboard counts or not

At about 1,000 points per quiz that's 9,000 runs through the quiz!
