Refunded by mistake!

I sold an item and sent the wrong size by mistake. The buyer opened case straightaway.

As I was responding to case replying to send item back for full refund I refunded full amount by mistake ( I was on my mobile).

I haven't obviously received the item yet and refunded!

Contacted Ebay and they said basically im on my own.

Can anyone help?

Firstly you should ask buyer to return the itsm send a pre stamped box or packet if that might help.

If that fails All you can via ebay is to send a payment request if the item isn't returned. If you are talking lots of money then you could try small claims, but having refunded voluntarily it might be a waste of money.

I did exactly the same, thinking I was asking them to send it back, assuming I'd get the screen to confirm, but no, it did the refund straight away.

I rang ebay and they were really helpful saying it was a common problem. She rang my buyer and offered him the prepaid postage but he declined this as it was only 69p.

I got it back after 2 days, luckily as it was £22

I would try ringing ebay again
