My oh uses Picasa and was deleted some photos the other night and a lot more seemed to have disappeared. Any ideas anyone?

Selected more than they thought?
Checked the recycle bin?
There are undelete programs but you really need to stop using the computer because every time you do and even more so if you download stuff the chances of the files being overwritten increases.
When you delete all it does really is remove the file name from being visible. Its still there until something overwrites that sector.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
The photos should still be in your documents/pictures folder, even if removed from Picasa-have you checked? No free lunch, and no free laptop

Have had a quick look but he has so many pics and does not seem to know what is missing. We dont live together so I told him next time he does not need his laptop for a day to drop it in and I will trawl through it it.0 -
Use the 'search' function to find the filename(s) then?
And get him to install a proper backup to external disk or cloud as well, since sooner or later he'll lose the lot when his drive eventually fails. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Picasa is only a index system
Uninstall the programme and then install it again fresh
It should then find them again for you, if they are on your hard drive?
