I've never ever had to say anything about my income or savings for Student Loans. They look at parents/guardians money not the students, so you're safeBroke Student :beer:0

Would she not be better paying the bills out of her savings, rather than getting into debt with loans.
Bad advice in my oppinion.
Or maybe she could NOT pay off the loans and use the money as a deposit on a house, and.....if she earns less that £20K she'll never pay a thing back...0 -

You've been reading the forms wrong, then.0 -
The student will only be asked to declare non-taxable income, but the form for parents asks for 'household income' which includes that income of the student (often overlooked by many parents). To be honest, there's probably not much interest on the £25,000 so it shouldn't change anything.0

I declared interest when I did my student finance application - it was a massive pain and I ended up undeclaring it because it got really complicated (all for £10 a month interest).
They didn't ask for the headline savings amount though.Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0
