Switching from Npower to EDF
I recently tried to switch my energy from Npower to EDF. Have registered online with EDF and received welcome pack etc. Then got an email today stating they cannot process the switch as NPower are refusing them.
Npower's website is down and their phone lines are shut until Monday. Any ideas what the problem may be? Anyone else experiencing problems with switching?
thanks

Do you owe money, is the npower account in your name?Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Interesting post I am in the process of doing the same. The site is down until Monday it says. I have not had any letter to say I can't leave though. Surely a massive fine if they do this meaning people can't switch after pm said himself to switch.0

Bit like switching from Mr Blobby to Frank Spencer PLC0

A debt of more than about £200 may result in a switch being blocked by the existing supplier. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Well the account is in my name and we pay by DD every month - have never missed a payment. I think last time we submitted a meter reading we were about £12 in debit so will have to call them tomorrow0
