I have a POPLA from Civil Enforcement Ltd - what next?

I found this forum via Google and found it incredibly helpful as I too have received a PCN from Civil Enforcement Ltd as my car was parked Sportspace Hemel Hemstead. I followed your advice and have now received a POPLA from these sharks. What's the next step? (The person who parked my car at the centre was a legitimate user and was at the centre for a child's birthday party and therefore doesn't have a receipt for the activity at the centre. They didn't see the signs and entered the building through a side entrance - let in my by another parent at the party - and therefore didn't pass by the signage prompts). The letter I have received says if the POPLA appeal is rejected I will have to pay the full charge amount (I think this is £150, reduced to £75 if paid in the next 14 days). Please advise what the likelihood of my being successful is. Many thanks in advance.

You need to appeal to POPLA.
I have knocked up a core appeal here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/63687448#Comment_63687448
You have a 5th point. The BPA have a maximum limit of £100 for a charge. You must say that the Parking Company must produce written approval from the BPA to impose a charge 50% higher than the approved maximum.0 -
+1 Guys dad -
But please do a bit of reading around the forum first and make sure you understand the appeal - IMO - it would help if you could write using the template but using your own wording where you can - post it up if you want further advice. You should emphasise that the driver on the day did not see any signs relating to parking - if you can obtain photographs of where they are especially in relation to the direction the driver took - so much the better.
In the meantime I would contact the centre requesting them to cancel the parking charge - you were a genuine user - and the host of the children's party obviously paid to use the facilities.0 -
Contacting the centre and reading other threads are both musts.0

I contacted the centre in the first instance to understand where the signs were and how the driver would have known to have registered their registration plate (to avoid paying a fine) at the centre. They simply said I needed to take it up with the parking people. I've clicked on 'Guys Dad,s' link but don't see a letter template...
Although I'm loathed to do it, I'm thinking of paying the damn thing as I don't have enough understanding how the BPA works and my likelihood of success. Aaaaggghh!0 -

Hopefully everything you need to know is now here:

The POPLA heading in the acronyms shown there, includes links to how to win at POPLA and 'POPLA decisions'.
HTHPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
