Guy's
I have a first gen touch which I bought when they first came out.
It's now developed an issue where on some tracks it stops a certain way in and just starts to play the next?
The same tracks play ok in itunes.
Tried a reset and stuff, but still does it.
Is there a simple non tekky way of sorting this for a thikko like me?..:D

Not sure about this but some of the music apps have a selectable setting to let you listen to a beginning sample of each track. Perhaps you have inadvertently selected this option.... I've got iPod Classics which display the same symptom. Haven't found a solution yet.0

In which case, surely it would do this on every track, not just some ...?
Agreed, that should be the case.
If as the OP says iTunes is still playing them ok, then maybe connect the Touch to the PC and delete all the songs from the iPod's memory, then perform a re-sync with iTunes ???... Ok,
After much fiddling I've got it, so this might help others.
Run itunes and plug in the ipod. Uncheck the sync music box and ok it (perform the sync)
When finished, check the sync music box and perform the sync again. It will put all tracks back on the ipod.
Sometimes it's a track that's been downloaded only. In that case, delete the track from itunes and sync, so the track is deleted from the ipod as well. Go to your account and find downloads. Down load the song again. Re sync the ipod so it puts the track back on.
Sorted.........:D:beer:Happiness, is a Kebab called Doner.....:heart2::heart2:0
