can you wash it with biological washing powder (hand wash) to get rid of the grease and then when it's dry spray with febreeze.
Then to stop it happening, either get a throw to put over your sofa, or make a small cushion cover sized piece of material to lay over the top.
I've still got some of those anti-macasas(chair back covers),that they used to use for mens greasy heads on the backs of chairs.
They were my great gandmothers(I don't use them).
I guess the ideas of yesteryear were'nt so daft afterall.0 -

use a handheld steamer... they've got them in home bargains for £5.99..... that'll get it off in a matter of seconds...0
