I. too. had forgotten about rolled-up shirt sleeves. DH is better with that though, since the day I said to him "please make sure you roll down your shirt sleeves for the wash, because one of these days it'll be a shirt that takes cuff-links, and you'll leave them in, and I won't realise and they'll be ruined". Some of his cuff-links were his dad's and he has one pair that his dad made for him, at silver-working classes, which he'd be devastated if they were ruined.
Hankies - I told him I was doing a hankie and towel wash today, but I still needed to do a search-and-rescue mission for hankies under his pillow and in the pocket of his dressing gown (I found one in each location).:D
Funnily enough, DH comes home with tales of the mucky pups he works with - his favourite gripe is the ones who leave dirty coffee mugs on the kitchen surface instead of putting them in the dishwasher, and the ones who leave a tiddly-widdly little bit of coffee in the coffee-maker, because they cba to put in beans and put it on to make a fresh jug.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
lol - I can remember when my OH first starting work at the water company and he drove the 'wagon' for the two man crew. His partner complained to me that OH would make him wipe his feet before he got in the wagon or even take his boots off! It paid off though - They twice won the 'Best Kept Wagon' award! yet he used to happily trek through the house up to the bathroom in his muddy work boots!0
-
oh - got distracted then by the sudden memory of OH and his 'wagon'!
I meant to post about Men and bathrooms - its like an alien concept to them! mine will put a clean towel down over the bathmat to stand on. and I cannot for the life of me work out how he manages to bring so much water out of the bath/shower with him - it (and the bathmat) get sopping wet!
Toilet roll holder - apparently its too complicated for him - he just balances the new loo roll on top. and yes the confetti does get all over the floor from him attempting to peel the first bit back. (btw does any one know WHY the manufacturers feel the need to glue it down? its packaged so its not as if they sell them loose is it?).
Toothpaste - the one I buy has a hinged lid - and he doesn't close that either!
He is also incapable of noticing if there are enough towels in there - so if one gets used as a bath mat, he has one for his hair, one to tie round his waist -then he needs another to wipe with and ALWAYS shouts down for me to get him one! Yes - that's FOUR towels! I only need one! he thinks I am strange!
talking about towels - the hand basin towel is supposed to live in the towel ring by the basin - but I often have to hunt for it! it may be on top of the towel rail, balled up on the radiator - or even in the bedroom by the side of the bed!0 -

I now get really annoyed with OH when he tidies up the garage and brings in all the stray mugs that he has accumulated out there... we haven't actually got enough cupboard space to house them all so I rely on him to hoard them!0

Friends who call and when I say "come in" say " no, only stopping a minute".
They then stand at the back door for about an hour talking and letting my heat out!

Growing up, we had two elderly neighbours, one on each side of us, who would do that. Lovely old dears they were, but it would drive my mum crazy, having to stand there with the door wide open letting all the heat out!Because it's fun to have money!
