Hi
I am new on here and could not find where to post, sorry if i am in the wrong place. Can anyone give me legal advise?
I tried to purchase some toys from Argos direct but the site kept freezing on me. I tried 3 times, then on the last attempt it seemed to go through but then failed on the payment page, i never received an email confirmation or anything so went into the store the next day.
They tried instore to order my items doll, pushchair and another toy but the same happened again although it looked like it had taken the payment it then came up error, and cancelled the transaction without giving a receipt. I went in after work and tried again but then the manager said it was because one of the items were out of stock.
I did not bother having the other two items as by this time i was a little brassed of, having spent about 4 hours in total on this. I left the store.
the next day at work i recieved 2 parcels (2 dolls) no receipt/invoice in the bag so was a little puzzled. I rang my card and they said that a transaction was showing on the account but they had refunded the amount straight back (the amount does not even add up to the 2 dolls) it corresponded to my original order.
The lady on the phone at the bank said well you have got a freebie and laughed but this is not funny.
I have 2 items which i seem not to have paid for which i dont want (i got 1 doll and pushchair elsewhere), no receipt/invoice what can i do.
Many thanks for your help.
Kind regards
Gail

Legal advice? Wouldn't the obvious thing be to take the items back?0

Give them back, if you want to do the moral thing, other than that sell them.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.

I had problems ordering from Argos over this last week, as did a friend. I gave up before payment, my friend was told his transaction had failed, although on checking with them it had gone through successfully.0

They are goods sent in error.
You need to notify Argos that you have received them and ask them to collect them at your convnience and refund any money taken.
By not notifying them, you may be seen to have accepted the goods and they may bill you for them.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
